Welcome to the Klezmer Academy, a portal for the exploration and enjoyment of the rich, complex world of traditional Eastern European Jewish instrumental music.  Drawing on my 30 years of studying, performing and teaching as well as the recordings in my vast collection of 78rpm discs, this site will share tunes, discussions of theoretical concepts, practical lessons on style, musings on current and past trends in the music and its performance, and other topics on all aspects of klezmer and its history.
